Tango reports an awesome thing he is doing at the con!

I (Tango) will be bringing a stack of postcards to Intervention that will have a special invite code on them that will allow Intervention attendees to create their own Dreamwidth accounts. Some will be left on the flyer table each day, and some will be handed out.

For those unfamiliar with Dreamwidth, it is an online community similar to LiveJournal and running an updated fork of LiveJournal’s open source code. Normally, the only ways to get a Dreamwidth account are to buy one or be invited by an existing user. The invite code on the cards is a special promotional code with limited uses, but will still create a full-featured free account.
